Despite being of average intelligence, she excelled as a scholar through hard work and perserverance and might have gone on to be a great one but her father was slain by a wereboar rather brutally and apparently out of pure malice. She spent the rest of her year in class studying odd bits of supernatural lore, much to the distress of the Sisters and once out of the nunnery, put her scholarship skills to use learning how to fight. Seven long hard years of fighting practice have turned her into a rather dangerous woman and she feels she's ready to hunt down her father's murderer.
